Business Analyst – Brussels – Belgium

About the role

Interested to join a young and growing international reinsurance company? Monument has a unique and successful business model in the insurance sector that consists in acquiring Life Insurance Businesses. To support our further growth, we are currently looking for a Business Analyst with minimum 5 years of relevant experience and with fluency in French and English to strengthen our Business Change Office team. 

Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst you will be part of the Business Change Office team with 3 other business analysts and you will report to the Project Management Office.
You will support ongoing projects throughout their lifecycle by analysing and describing business requirements, working in close collaboration with IT, and supervising & supporting Operational teams in testing.  You will also participate in the continuous improvement of operational processes. You will thus be a key enabler to achieve our business objectives and provide support to the smooth integration of newly acquired portfolios.

You will have the following responsibilities: 

• Analyze and formalize the requirements for portfolio migrations, digitalization and other major projects;
• Prepare and execute tests of processes and calculations in order to check and ensure quality and reliability of developments; organize, coordinate and lead the testing efforts with operational teams to ensure that testing activities are aligned with project goals and requirements;   
• Implement all changes, improvements and follow-up of bugs of the policy database to ensure accuracy, efficiency and optimal functioning of the database; 
• Elaborate guidelines and procedures, support their implementation, inform and train users of the policy management system on new developments;
• Collaborate with all internal and external parties involved (such as Operations, IT, Change, etc) by developing a relation of trust.

Role Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor Degree in economics, management, computer science or similar with minimum 5 years of relevant experience as business analyst and/or in project management;
• Experience in the insurance sector – knowledge of UL3 or other insurance policy management platforms is an asset.
• Sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and interest in IT;
• Professional knowledge of French and English, Dutch is an asset;
• Analytical mind, eye for detail, solution oriented, enthusiastic, energetic and pro-active;
