Management Trainee – Brussels – Belgium
About the role
Due to the expansion of our activities in Belgium, we are hiring a Management Trainee to help us with our M&A projects, develop and implement our growth strategy and assist our top management team. This position is best suited for candidates who want to gain valuable experience in a managerial role. During the traineeship, the selected candidate will learn how to identify and apply important strategies and business processes. He/she will get to know the nuts and bolts of our company functions and operations and will support our management team with daily tasks such as crafting reports, preparing presentations for the Executive team members.
Responsibilities
To succeed in this role, strong analytical skills, a proactive attitude, effective communication and organisation skills are important management trainee qualifications the candidate should have.
- Corporate Governance: preparing, assisting and writing minutes of Management Committees and Board meetings);
- Support Executive Team members to complete daily tasks and provide support with administration (e.g. time keeping, prepare documents for important meetings, …);
- Understand Mergers & Acquisitions daily processes and milestones;
- Create and give presentations;
- Completing all assigned tasks and provide ad hoc assistance on projects;
- Observing and learning from experienced staff members;
- Gaining knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes;
- Taking detailed notes and liaising with Managers, Supervisors, and other senior staff;
- Preparing documents and updating records.
Role Requirements
- Master in Management, Business, Law, Insurance;
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Language skills: Excellent command of English and French or Dutch, with a very good level of the other national language;
- Enthusiastic, proactive and entrepreneurial;
- Willingness to deliver and meet tight deadlines;
- Eager to learn and share knowledge, flexible and open-minded;
- High level of integrity.
