Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities
Procurement Operations:
- Manage and categorise all incoming procurement requests
- Identify, plan and maintain the procurement demand, renewals and terminations pipeline.
- Work with Accounts Payable on New Vendor Set-up.
- Foster strong relationships with internal customers across IT, Risk, Compliance, Change, HR, Finance and Operations to ensure their procurement needs are met and processes followed
- Build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders across Functions and Countries (UK, Ireland, IoM, Luxembourg, Belgium). They are key to successful delivery of procurement in Monument.
- Support the Head of Vendor Management in drafting and running RfX projects to procure high value/risk Tier 1 and 2 services
- Work with internal customers and stakeholders to develop, negotiate and execute contracts of various types and value.
Procurement Management and Performance:
- Support the development of fit for purpose processes and tooling where required.
- Work with the head of Group Vendor Management and Performance manager to develop realistic strategies and targets for the function.
- Spend analysis across all monument entities to identify potential savings / avoidance opportunities.
- Support in tracking regulatory (e.g. DORA) projects.
- Exit planning and management
- Support development of insightful MI and reporting for the procurement function
Role Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience working within a procurement function.
- Strong organisational skills. 2+ years’ of experience in Procurement Negotiations for €5k – €250k projects
- Have Generalist procurement knowledge and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences, within and across organisational boundaries;
- Previous success in assisting the development of standardised processes and tools at a group level an advantage
- Experience working within Insurance or financial services a plus, with a focus on professional services, IT, HR, Risk, Finance desirable but not essential;
- Ability to balance Group policies and processes with varying local requirements and managing needs of both Group and local entities
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to present ideas in a clear, concise manner
- Experience in continuous improvement and process development with respect to Vendor Management an advantage;
