About the role

Due to the expansion of our Group, we are looking to grow our Investments analytics systems. The role is for a permanent position. The specialist will work with the Investments team to lead the design and implementation of an upgraded version of the current system and to help stabilise existing data processes.

  • Manage the design and implementation for the upgraded version of our investment Business Intelligence systems.
  • Liaise with internal clients across multiple teams to fully understand data content and data sources and translate into appropriate data models.
  • The ideal candidate will also implement tactical enhancements in the existing system, for example:
  • Create and update DAX queries (Power Query, SSAS Power Pivot).
  • Implement scalable ETL processes. The ETL technology we currently use is called Integralynx, the candidate will have to be comfortable to learn this new technology (not widespread)
  • Work with existing users and team members to improve current system performance.
  • Gather, understand and document requirements and development changes.

Role Requirements

  • Highly skilled in PowerBI tool. Vast experience of data modelling, DAX, and Power Query / SSAS
  • Hands-on experience of projects / programmes that include data manipulation, integration, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with cloud platform (Microsoft Azure) is a plus.
  • Advanced SQL and query performance tuning skills is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data design, data modelling, data management, and data visualization.
  • Understand and promote data quality, introduce early data validations.
  • Ability to interact with business as well as technical teams.
  • Experience in finance / asset management fields highly desirable.
